How To Use Amazon.com

The Amazon is the world’s largest river in terms of water volume and Amazon.com is one of the largest websites in terms of shopper volume. It contains a huge variety of things for sale, ranging from books and music to DVDs, airplane tickets, apparel, and the list goes on and on.

Amazon.com not only offers online shopping but also an online travel agency, car dealership, news kiosks and department stores. The site offers something for everyone, whether you are a seller or a buyer.

The inventory of products at Amazon.com is truly amazing. Since the online store does not really have to keep a stock of inventory, you get the advantage of having a wide and large selection of goods from which to choose from. Your orders are fulfilled and sent out to you the next day in most cases, or generally within a week.

There are many products that have customer reviews. You may get great advice from other customers, and their unbiased views of the product can help you make a decision on what particular product you are going to buy. You can even write your own reviews, giving your opinions and views of the products that you have purchased. Most products also have broad product information available from the manufacturer or publisher.

When you purchase a product from Amazon.com, you could be buying directly from Amazon.com, a large business partner, or products from a small partner who has set up a mini-store on the Amazon site. When purchasing products, know from whom you are buying. When you are purchasing from a partner through the Amazon.com site, you need to follow the rules and regulations of that partner.

There are 11 various sections at Amazon.com including: Apparel & Accessories; Books, Music, DVD; Electronics & Office; Health & Beauty; Home & Garden; Kids & Baby; Gifts & Registries; Bargains; Professional Supplies; Hobbies & Interests; and Services. These can all be easily found at the Amazon.com site. Many have their own tab across the top of the site, while others are found listed out on the left hand side of the site. These do not include all of the partner stores.

Each of the stores has their own homepage. There you will find useful information about the features, options and choices that are available to you. Just click on the store and the homepage comes up.

Also, Amazon.com has a very powerful search tool to help you find everything you are searching for. The search button will bring up the products you are looking for and link directly to them. If you are looking for “Harry Potter” for example, you will get a list of Harry Potter merchandise divided out by section, making your shopping experience much easier.

The Services section at Amazon.com has many different options available to you including Amazon.com Visa card, Associates Program, Presidential Candidates, Cars, Chat, Corporate Accounts, Friends & Favorites, Movie Showtimes, Restaurants, Travel, Web Services, Your Recommendations, and Your Store. These services allow you to personalize features of the site, gives you updates on Presidential Candidates, and even gives you a place to come and chat with others.

Under the Bargains section you will find Auctions, outlet and zShops. These sections have items that are being sold by other Amazon users – it is similar to a flea market-type auction. zShops are specialty shops made up of small retailers who want to have an online-option for their customers.

There is also one more tab that can be really useful for you – that is “Today’s deal”. This section provides information on the latest offerings, including free shipping or discounts. You could check this to see if there are any ways to save on your purchase.

At Amazon.com you can purchase almost anything. There are some things that the site does not sell including live animals, firearms, perishable items, and no hard-core pornography. You cannot sell these items at Amazon.com.

Amazon.com is one of the most customer-centric shopping sites on the Internet. From when you register with their site, to when you make your first purchase and subsequent purchases, all of your purchases are tracked and maintained by Amazon.com to better serve you. Tracking your data along with all other shoppers at Amazon.com allows them to find out what people like you prefer and what they want to buy.

Be sure to check out the privacy policy as well as the return policies from Amazon.com or from the vendor from whom you are purchasing via Amazon.com. This is quite important. The zShops do not operate under the same guidelines as Amazon.com, so you should check what the return policies are for each purchase. Amazon.com’s return policy allows returns within 30 days if the product is in unused and in original packaging.

Amazon.com allow allows you to personalize the site just for you. After filling in your interests, likes and wants, the site can be programmed to show you those things in which you are most interested. Personalizing the site gives you everything that you want to see and makes online-shopping even more convenient and enjoyable.

So register and start shopping. It doesn’t matter what time it is the stores are all open.
